Preparation Tips

Before setting up your aquarium:

• Boil the driftwood to sterilize it, reduce tannins, and help it sink faster.
• Rinse the stones and sand thoroughly with warm water before use.
• Never place hot stones directly into an aquarium with livestock.

Aquascaping Tips

For extra stability:

• Super glue wood to wood or wood to stone using aquarium-safe cyanoacrylate glue.
• Attaching the wood to stones also helps keep the driftwood submerged while it naturally becomes waterlogged.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I keep in this aquarium?

We recommend up to 5–10 Neocaridina shrimp and/or 1–3 small snails, depending on the species.

Can I add live plants?

Absolutely! Live plants help create a healthier, more stable aquarium. Epiphyte plants such as Anubias, Bucephalandra, Java Fern, and aquarium mosses are excellent choices for this setup.

Can I use tap water?

Yes, but be sure to treat tap water with a quality dechlorinator before adding it to the aquarium. RO/DI water is another excellent option if available.

Do I need anything else?

For the best experience, we recommend adding:

• Small aquarium filter
• Nano heater (if needed)
• Aquarium light (for live plants)
